Failed to connect to server w[2003]l[0]

Hi,
I tried to open up the game and it started and finished auto-patcher but then when I try to start the game now I get this--->FAILED TO CONNECT TO SERVER W[2003]L[0]
WTH is this and how do I fix it please?
By the way I play wirelessly with a ambit gateway/modem

the crossfire login server is offline... BE PATIENT and wait for the patch notes before you patch your client.. http://www.mmoserverstatus.com/crossfire
