Definitely a cheaper laptop. But the CPU and Memory should be pretty good but will run hot. 320Gb is a good mid-range amount for storage, 5400RPM is pretty meh for a desktop replacement. Graphics, however, S-U-C-K. Don't expect really decent FPS from that laptop even in Crossfire. Anything integrated sucks ballz, excuse my french.

well atm i have a .......... 30 GIGABYTE HARDRIVE XD lolz on a dell latitude d600 with a ati radeon 9000 and 1 gb ram 1.6 gz cpu, i get about 30- 50 fps unstably... if thats a word now in a full room so i think this might be an ok buy mostly because atm my laptop overheats constantly , figuring that more cpu power and a few fans i can overclock will keep this one less hot -

Customize that on Cyberpowerpc?
I can vouch for their company.
I'm using a laptop I bought from them.
Runs great.
Used it to replace my desktop completely.
If you do get a laptop you plan on using for gaming be sure you buy a cooling pad for it.
You can find some on http://www.newegg.com. -

If you wanna do gaming DONT DONT DONT buy a laptop..
it will heat a lot...but yea u can buy a cooler for that but in a matter of1-2 years you will need a new battery as well a new charger too propably...
So get an awesome desktop. -
Not shabby at all. It'll work much better for your needs. Newegg.com has some really good deals on useful laptops if you can sort through all of the choices and find one in your price range.Chaoticgame3 wrote: »well i configured a desktop and its specs are..

An 9500GT with that kind of CPU should average around 40-50 FPS in CF, should be playable with a few dips in the lower 20 FPS range at most from my experience with laptops using the mobile 9500GT.
If you can get away with a DIY (you're new so it would be a learning experience, not recommended on your budget however), you can get a pretty good desktop for the same price and get a bit more performance out of it.
Gaming on a laptop is not a problem when it comes to older games with older graphics and physics engines like Crossfire, (Doom 3 & Half-Life 2 at the higher end of the graphics scale) or Counterstrike 1.6, Quake 3, ect.
Anything over 3Gb of RAM won't help Crossfire run much faster unless you have a bunch of background tasks running, which you shouldn't have. A dual-core CPU from Intel of the i3 or an AMD Phenom class with an ATI 35xx or NVIDIA 75xx series should be enough to play Crossfire pretty darn well. You'd be better off investing more money in a faster 7200RPM drive then getting more memory then 4Gb for the tasks you'll probably be using a laptop in your price range for, or getting a better CPU, GPU, ect. 64-Bit OS's are useful if you need them memory and you have the programs which can harness the extra efficiency. Overall 32-Bit is more compatible with most programs, less of a hassle, ect.
