little bit o' router help?

i have a wrt54gs2 v1 router, and it occasionally checks the internet connection. every time it checks the connection, it disconnects me from the internet.

is there any way i can stop it from checking the connection? D:

    It's possible that its a driver issue. On my current laptop I used to get disconnects all the time. Once I rolled back the driver to the manufacturer's default it behaved normally.

    i already explained this before but seems to be in
    need of answering you need a new router and
    dont go buying the most expensive router you
    find , a cheep router will do about around 30 dollars
    and your set. All your gonna do by asking your provider
    is waist money to have some guys come and look at your
    router for 3 hours just to say you need a new one.
    Its a defective router , that type of thing happens all
    the time.

    How do you know if you're router is checking for connection, I have that same router, but I usually thought that I got dced because I have crappy wireless Internet that's from a company ran by one guy

    because every time the internet drops, the network magic thing is checking the connection.

    ahh yes, thank you. i completely forgot i asked already. today was just a bad day and i got dc'd in 5 diff clan matches. made me rageee
