lol nahh its fine. i was planning on going to the bank, then best buy today to get a new mouse and maybe a keyboard. i can't stand using this stock mouse, so i need a new one asap
and a question to any body... under the system req's, it says windows xp.
does that mean the mouse won't work with windows 7? -

I'm an AWM wh0re too ^_^ I've got this mouse, think I was tellin you about this one the other night:
The Microsoft Razer Habu is a pretty good mouse, feels comfortable, and has a good amount of on board buttons and features, excellent for quick scoping. Immediately interchangable 400, 800, 1600, and 2000 dpi aswell, so better to change sensitivity depending on how many people enter the match.

I got mine for £30/$50, cheap as hell for a Razer. -

Yeah it's based on the DeathAdder 3500, except that has 2 less buttons
but it does have a higher DPI, but tbh 2000 is more than comfortable with this game
I have my sensitivity on 3 at 1500 dpi, then switch to 2000 dpi when scoped

i'm guessing the 5600 dpi imperator is a lil too much for crossfire then =]
i think ill get the deathadder
but uhh... will all the extra buttons get in the way? -

Yeah that high a DPI is only really useful for games like Crysis.
You don't really notice the buttons are even there when your casually on your pc. They help like hell though when you're playing ^_^ -

how do they help while playing?
and i'll get the mouse u have if i see it at bestbuy =]

Cos you can change your in-game options to make to make one of em your 'special fire' options, meaning you can walk through Egypt with an AWM, then scope in instantly and kill (though you do get a few more hackusations).
I'd highly recommend it
Naa I have a mouse pad but I just use mine on the wood of the desk, feels smoother.
It does take a little while to get used to using the new buttons, but when you have you'll wonder how you played without em ^_^ -

Oui
what you'd normally use to scope, you can change it to that, or use one of the buttons as reload, and another as crouch (as I do) also the scoll wheel is excellent. -

omg. i really want it now
**x
i think ima get it 2morrow =]
but yeahh.. after being used to scoping in with the right mouse button, it's gonna take quite a while to get used to another button. =]
but ill do whatever it takes to be a better sniper

You could still use the right mouse button though
Just tamper around with using the extra buttons and dpi in MM or somewhere like that

The Destructor is a proper Razer pad.
Its a hardpad though, I know some people like soft ones. But the tracking is amazing on it, its really thin, and it comes with a travel case to protect it from scratches. If it gets dirty you just put some dish soap on it and wipe it off. Its awesome. -

Sounds pretty good, I MUCH prefer hard pads, to soft ones.
this one's only £25/$40 at a store by me
might go buy it tomorrow, since I'm using the wood on the desk atm, but the grain pattern disrupts my sniping

Pretty good mouse, but that weight distribution is only really useful if you have low sensitivity or snipe alot

don't buy razer if you are serious about gaming. I'd recommend the steelseries xai, or any steelseries product in that matter.
note: don't buy from bestbuy, futureshop or any big store chain like the two noted, they rip you off + they distribute horrible gaming gear. -

Steelseries gear are great, I'd probably rate the Xai as my second favourite mouse. Still, prefer the Habu over anything else I've tried. -

the habu feels to much like something you'd get out of a razer mouse. not my personal preference. -

It is very Razer-like, since it was based on the Deathadder, which wouldn't normally be my perfect choice, but this mouse seems to fit my hand and my needs perfectly..... Even my mom tries to steal it >_>
