Playstation 2 controller and Pinnacle Game Profiler

I've attempted to play Crossfire using a PS2/USB adapter and Pinnacle Game Profiler software. After double clicking my CF icon on my desktop, it brings up the window with the news and what-not and will allow me to "click" the start game button using the PS2 controller. But once I get to the actual login screen, I cant "click" anymore and when I get to the servers menu the only buttons that work are my L2 R2 buttons that are mapped to my scroll wheel up/down. The up/down/left/right buttons have never worked, despite being mapped to the correct keys on the keyboard. Everything works perfectly in my control panel>game controllers settings. If anybody has tried this and has a working configuration PLEASE post it here. Thanks!

Currently, CF doesnt support controllers... but there are a few programs you can try... try looking on google

Right, im using Pinnacle Game Profiler. It works fine until after Xtrap but when the CF loading screen appears I lose all movement and such except for the L2 R2 buttons on the controller. Why would a few buttons still work and most of them stop working?

I gave my controller to one of the neighbor kids, I will request that I can use this to test it out and see how to get it working.
