An Eternal Question: RPK or M60-MM
If you haven't already guessed, I'm an avid mutation mode player, and am looking to buy a machine gun. There are, obviously, two viable options: RPK or M60.
I realize that these are mostly situational, and this question may therefore, and rightly so, attract various oppinions. I am looking for the best ALL-AROUND weapon to suit various needs, even though I ussually play in a defensive style.
If you would, also critique my observations:
M60:
More Ammo per 'clip'
More total Ammo
Higher strength
Obviously supperior for very close-range encounters, but the increased weight and decreased accuracy makes long-range and even far middle range unrealistic. Since I ussually bunker up on the A site ledge at port map, this would be good for defense, but not abandoning the site if mutants show up or even spawn in my midst, as is painfully likely.
RPK:
More accuracy
Less recoil
ever so slightly faster
The faster reload may be the saving grace of a camper, but it trades off the slaughtering infinite spray of the M60 for a gun much like a middle hybrid of assault rifles and machine guns.
Posting:
Please do not suggest weapons other than the options given.
PLEASE include WHY you chose your given option OVER the other.
If you really can't help yourself, you may divulge to me which is better: M60 adv or RPK camo.
No spam please.

The M60 just has limited use, unless your pinning a mutant against a wall and need 20 extra ammo then the RPK is better in all respects. Plus it's a good amount lighter for when you're backing away from zombies. Over all I'd say RPK, just buy an extra MG clip so you don't run out of ammo.

Okay...just by looking at my name you can guess what I'm going for

I choose the M60 over the RPK because:
A) The M60 has larger clip size, which translates into longer times to keep mutants away/under fire
The M60 can be used in lots of different situations; it's an All-Purpose Machine Gun
C) The M60-Adv looks...amazing.
D) The M60 Normal looks...amazing.
E) If you don't spray, one can easily get multiple kills in MM with one-shotting with the M60. M60's first-shot accuracy is dead on. -
Headshooting is easy to do with an M60. If you can do that, then just get the M60, the extra ammo will pay out a bit. But it is freaking slow.
The RPK is a bit better in most respects, and that's what you are looking for. The accuracy will help with spraying and HSing too.
