Can't make a character?

I login, type in a character name I want. Press confirm, press okay and then it says "Failed to make character". I've tried it with loads of different names, any help please?

wow the GMs i this game dont care about anybody...no posts on the issue which could be a serious threat to the player base....why did i even bother
