mac crossfire virtual pc?

title is a bit fuzzy, do i'll clarify.

Do things like Wine or Crossover Mac or Parallels work with Crossfire?

I want to know because I am leaning in the direction of a MAc, and I don't want to boot camp anything. All relevant responses are appreciated.

Crossfire has many problems, I doubt it will have the things you want.

From what I've heard, CrossFire won't run on a virtual pc. You may wanna wait for a few more responses on that though, as I'm not 100% sure.

I'm just tired of looking for a 15.4 inch pc with cd drive and at least 4 hr battery that can actually run cf and not cost a boatload of cash.

You don't really need an epic gaming PC to run CrossFire

what's the max you'd be willing to spend?

You could always built a custom gaming PC.

well, it has to be a laptop, and I'm not good at taking parts out and putting them in, yeah, i've tried.

Mu budget is $1600.

Use a program called bootcamp to run CF on a MAC

Even if crossfire would work with any of those, there's still the change xtrap will think iits a hack. :O

Well there's no point building a gaming laptop, so you may aswell buy a pre-built model. You can easily get a decent lappy for that much. Here are the main system requirements for CF:

512mb-1gb RAM
1.6ghz processor
128mb graphics card
DirectX 9 or above

can you recommend any that get a decent battery life? I am leaning towards m11x with i7, but i hate the NO CD DRIVE....

Tbh I never look for decent battery life, since my main lappy is the one I use when travelling. This one's permanently plugged it.
I'd avoid anything that uses HP l-ion batteries though $:\$ very unreliable and drain pretty quickly (2.5 hours of CrossFire, unplugged)

Im pretty sure if you buy a laptop that doesnt have a CD drive, theres external ones you can buy that connect directly to your laptop via USB
