Just a few thoughts on CF

Yes, this game has a lot of things that people can complain about. Every game has it's positives and negatives. However, here are a few things to think about.

- Cross Fire is a Free to play game. Yes, you can purchase in-game currency to make your personal weapon/item collection better, but in the end you do not pay to play this game.
- A little history lesson: G4Box and NeoWiz partnered to bring CF to the United States on May 21, 2008. Cross Fire then was officially released out of Beta on April 16, 2009. So Cross Fire has literally been out of Beta for only a little over a year. You people need to have more patience for a better game play experience. I'm sure it's coming.

Take a look at this (For the many who seem to try and hold Cross Fire in the same instance as other games).

- April 12, 2000: The day Valve and Counterstrike developers officially announced their partnership.
- September 15, 2000: CS 1.6 was officially released.
- CS/CSS = Pay to play

Now, I am not comparing these games. I am merely using it as an example as to the difference in mentality people should have when viewing Cross Fire and it's negatives. Cross Fire has not been around long at all. Everyone needs to be patient and give it time to develop. Counterstrike has about 9 years on Cross Fire and a lot more funding to go along with it. Next time, when thinking about how there are better games out there think about the fact that you don't have to pay to play Cross Fire. For the experience it can offer, it is quite the FPS game. Give Cross Fire 10 years of development and funding, I'm sure it will be quite a game to be reckoned with as well. I assure you.

  • I guess this is well said, but was it really needed to make thread #100 about the same thing? Just saying, but well said.
  • You're still on the cVo thing? :D I guess it was a pretty stupid thing to say. Lol.

    and get banned from wogl.

seriously why troll someone making good points..
  • Eh don't worry about it. Sauce please don't start anything in here. That goes for anyone wanting to post something not worth saying. I would like valid discussion on this without trolling/flaming. I would like to hear everyone's discussion on this if it's mature and on-topic.
  • Well Said !

Grunts, the worthy soldier has spoken the truth. I said something similar last week. My son has played CF FOR FREE for over a year. He outranks me and has a better KDR. No fancy guns, two bags, no armor. While I have spent way too much money on the game. Either way, we both enjoy the game. Yes, there are problems. Live with it, learn to fight your battles, your way. I have. I get better every match I fight. CF is just beginning, it can only get better as it developes.

Thing is I don't care about me being banned from wogl that much, nice try.

I understand your points. However, I can go into a game with original GP only weapons and items and outplay a ZP loaded player. Your abilities in this game have nothing to do with the size of your wallet. Anyways, back to the original topic :D
  • I like this thread, some real respectable people here.
And I like your points that you made, very true. But keep in mind this game is full of impatient 13 yr olds who like to type "F11" at every ace.

Like I said, I'm sure this game will change over time. This game along with the community will grow in time. I do think it will take longer with this one though.
  • Today's bump. See if I can get more good discussion on this. More people need to think about it.
