Ak-47
To me, the AK-47 is probably the most overrated gun in the whole game.
In every thread, when someone asks gun advice, theres at least 1 person who says "get the ak-47, if you can handle the recoil"
Now I'm sure there are very good players out there with the AK-47, but there are very good players out there with every gun. I'm pretty sure most people that worships the AK-47 don't actually have it as their bag 1 gun, they are simply following the "AK-47 is so pro" trend.
From my own experience, the top players in the game usually tend to be scar light, variants of the m4, or xm8 users. Rarely do I see anyone consistently doing well with the AK-47.
I myself own an AK, I like it, and sometimes I get good scores with it, but it is not my best gun, and I'm not it isn't the best gun for 99% of the players on CF.

Because Ak-47 is the most dominant gun in the game? The Ak can do all sorts of stuff...in short, medium, and long range combat the ak is still reliable. Not to mention if you can learn and control the spray, it becomes no match for in short and medium range. Not many people use it because not alot of people like it at first and give up on the gun, saying that the m4 is better because at first its easier to use. Sure there are certain people good with certain guns and I'm not saying that the ak is better than the m4 or any other gun. It just depends on your playing style.

like in cs ak-47 and m4 are the best guns,it's hard to say which 1 is beter but many said m4 beter.Actualy m4 is just easier to use,ak needs skill.But i like m4 more than ak,is easier to use and training ak takes too much time

M4 and AK are still the standards IMO.
SL is a noobcannon. You don't call the M12 user pro because he consistently lags up everyone and gets kills. XM8, other rifles? They just don't have the all round flexibility of the M4 and AK.
M4 & AK have the ability to one-shot, burst & spray very well, and can be used in various situations. AK having the higher power can excel more in close range, and M4 more in far.
Though TBH, if you play smart you can often avoid long range encounters. -

there aren't very good player with m9 sorry!
AK 47 is excellent that's why. With time everybody can handle the recoil, and that's how it becomes better than the scar light and the M4A1. SL is lazy -

Nobody cares what you think, ak is a very balanced gun hands down, go away plz -
honestly the AK has been the weapon of choice in most FPS next to the awp/awm, alot of people do suggest it because they rather have them buy that rather than a scrub light, don't hate on the AK because it really is the best gun that isn't considered noob, and it is my bag 1 even though i suck with it, it's still fun using.

It really all boils down to playing style. There are few guns that can't be really good. Most people select m4 or AK because they are easily recognizable, and people like the way they look. XM8, SL, AK, M4, SG552(my personal favorite), G36, Type 89.... All are good in their own way. Figure out your playing style, find the gun with the stats that most match that style, and then use nothing but it. You will get good.

This is not Counter-strike, this is an independent game with its own stats, and yes, I agree AK and M4 are the best guns in CS.Because Ak-47 is the most dominant gun in the game? AK usually does not stand a chance against M4, Scar Light (or scrub light if you are really that lame), XM8, TAR, and they are all very versatile guns good at all ranges.CookieMunzta wrote: »You can't handle the AK, so you think it's over-rated?

Again, this is CrossFire, not other games. But again, from my own experience of playing for CF for 2 years, I have not yet seen any consistenly dominating players who uses the AK-47 as their main gun. And in most clan matches, AK users are even rarer.
And if you are very good with the AK, and taken the time to master it, I'm sure you can do much better by mastering other guns that are more reliable than the AK. -
