Nothing in here proves either party is stupid. Except for the insults regarding physical features/sexual orientation, but even then that's debatable.

Understand something. This was not an "argument." An argument requires both sides to have a position, and both sides to be making valid points towards said position, while responding to points made.

This was a response to, what the people on vent considered, an over-reaction to a joke. That can't determined stupidity, only immaturity, and even then only of a specific kind. Which I personally have no problem admitting, I'm pretty immature when it comes to responses with over-reacting people.

Unless you tie immaturity and stupidity together, which IMO doesn't work. But that's a whole other discussion.

The guy has been building that clan since pretty much open beta, so if some 17-year old on pug vent tries to flame me about something I've worked hard on I would've ripped into them as well.

I was in a clan ranked 6 for 8 months. Who wants to challenge me 5v5 to show me how bad players in high-ranked clans are?

We weren't laughing at his clan. A joke was made that they were bad because of their rank. It's a joke because we all knew that rank has nothing to do with actual clan skill.

Even so, it seems that he feels he has/had something to prove, as he began to take it seriously. Then people just started preying of that insecurity.

It wasn't about the clan's rank, it was about over-reaction to a joke.
