Auto Patch failure

I haven't played the game for a while, so when I clicked the game, the auto patch came up. The patch update gets to about 99% and then stops. I've tried running the game compatibility for XP and 2000 and I've reinstalled twice. Not sure what the issue is. Any help would be appreciated.

You SERIOUSLY don't wanna get back into the game right now, hackers and glitchers like everywhere $:\$

That may be true, but I would at least like to find out the solution to my problem.

Um this might not work but try right clicking on the icon, then select Properties, hit Compatability, and select run in compatability mode with WinXP SP 2 (or try a different mode). it might not work though
