lol the average including all the monkeys in this world is 500 on both sections. excluding the hood, i would say 600 is average so...
i scored a perfect 800 on math but did pretty bad on english, 650. and 630 on writing which colleges don't really look at anymore so i didn't really care...
Honestly, only high end schools such as BC look at the SAT's in a serious manner and only as a weeding tool. For example they will not look at a application with under 650 in all sections. I personally had a 97.5 GPA and a 35 on the ACT. (I used the ACT instead of my SAT scores) Was enough to get me a full ride to a small private school upstate so i can not complain. -

lol who told you that. every college looks at SAT but only a few(usually bad schools) look at ACT. only took 2 SAT II and the SAT as well as 4 AP exams. didn't get my final high school transcript yet but my last one was 94.3 and it shouldn't change too much...
PS: sauce tells me this story all the time -

My Grandfather did, he was the dean for 3-4 colleges lol and wrote a book on the topic. And of couse every school looks at it but no school will base it on it. For example, i had below average SAT scores for one of the schools i applied for. For both NYU and RIT, but my gpa was above average so i was accepted into both. My point is very few schools outside of IVY league will look at the SAT's and say yes or no based upon those scores in comparison to your gpa. -
