FILE IS CHANGED W[2007] L[0] and other File Changed/Forged Errors
- Uninstall the game completely
- Disable your antivirus' realtime protection
- Redownload the game
- Install the game
- Add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions
- Re-enable realtime protection
If you downloaded the game with your antivirus active, it may be 'cleaning' the rez file upon download.
The source File is corrupted
This is similar to the previously mentioned "File is changed" error. If your antivirus software's realtime scanner is active while you are downloading the game, it could result in corruption of the download. Temporarily disable your realtime scanner, then redownload the game client. Keep realtime scanning disabled while you install the game. Make sure to add the entire Crossfire folder to your antivirus' exceptions list before you re-enable the realtime scanner. -

Did that didnt work.. instead i ended up getting an xtrap error after i re installedOne_Cool_Guy wrote: »try those steps
so then i uninstalled, ccleaner, re download and now im getting the same error.. agian ._.
just wondering is there anyway to freeze my x2 and guns because i havent been able to play for a week -
i've got the problem failed to connect to server before. i've tried to open the ports 10009 and 13008, however the problem still persist.
guess what? i've found the problem: those ports are for crossfire only, another port has to be opened for gamewatcher to launch.
so generally you have to open 3 ports: 10009, 13008 AND 16666.
after you've done that? happy gamming
in case you're not an internet expert, just go on your modem address and set your firewall setting at LOW, instead of medium or high. if you can't do this, just type in google "how to open ports"
ok good luck guys -

HGWC.exe
Compatibility problem. I use Vista, and run HGWC.exe in compatibility mode for Win XP SP2, and I don't get any disconnections or errors any more. I DO HAVE a problem with my sound though because I have done this, it becomes distorted and breaks up all the time. I run HGWC.exe back in normal mode, i.e. no compatibility settings, and I get disconnected, error messages, Hack Tool messages, incorrect map info, e.t.c. Can you please fix this? -

first off your suggestions to shut off my firewall to play your game is effin ludacrous. why dont u just change your game so it doesnt have trojans in it or send out a notice to all the AV/F providers so we dont have to put our pcs at risk just to play your game.
second i keep getting the crossfire.exe File is changed W[2007] L[2] error like the guy a couple posts above me
btw i dont use sum cheapo AV/F.... i use zone alarm, if it says its a trojan or spyware, it most likely is. try sending them the data so i can play this game and not run without a firewall or av

X Trap Error
After I click "Start Game" the download patch double loading bar thingy flickrs and doesn't fill up at all. Then when my game gets to the HGW loading bar it either stalls at 71% or 85%. Then that flickrs away and I see the big picture with the two soldiers and then I get an X Trap error that says:
"CODE_FIELD [30-0400-00000000-505]
The game execute file is not normal or an abnormal memory access has been detected."
Please help!
