Why...do people spend so much on this game?
I have been thinking a while. I hear people say they spend like about $500 or more buying Subapoints (when they were still around)/ZP for Crossfire? What the hell?
Look, it's been a long time since I played this game, and started playing again recently...I don't pay any money, and I'm cool because I have an Ak 47.
But now I see people complaining about things like login or how this game sucks...but they keep on playing them? Wtf?
This brings me to a couple questions in this subject:...Do they play any other games? Like seriously? Have they heard of the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii?
I understand if a person loves Crossfire and spends money on it, sure. But for the people who play it, pay for it or not, they complain so much, when they could use their money...like on a better game?
I mean, you can spend 20 bucks and get a great game like Counter Strike Source, or buy a game on a Current generation console like the PS3.
But from the sound of it it seems like many people in this community only play Crossfire?
Any thoughts? What games do you guys play other than Crossfire? >_> *end constant rambling*

I spend money on this game because gaming in general is my hobby.
If I were a golfer, I'd spend a few thousand on clubs and memberships instead.
Its a priority thing. Those who have money to spend, spend it. Of course we're going to spend it on something we enjoy. -

But what he said....People say they spend loads of money on CF & then they only complain about it...they find that enjoyment? -
People complain because its the most constructive way they can think of, to make things change.DownAndDirty wrote: »But what he said....People say they spend loads of money on CF & then they only complain about it...they find that enjoyment?
Complaints are always a sign of disapproval. They know no other way to provide criticisms and promote changes - but at the same time, they still enjoy the game. -

I play CF the most, cuz it has a lot of players. Free Zp thru surveys ftw

I have a secondhand PS2 but the controller is kinda broken, and I just suck with the controller so I don't play much. Also play League of Legends, other free FPS, Assassin Creed, trying out Trackmania Nation (dude this game is hard O.O) -

many people dont realise (for give me for saying "like you") that their is such thing as the hardcore gamer, this is a strange reality with RTS and FPS and MMORPG's. the typical hardcore gamer has a passion for gaming and will go at great lengths to keep their interests in the game, i in total have spent about 400 quid(British pounds) on this game, but over a period of time, not straight away.
even if you are a hardcore gamer spending 500 quid at once is just abit stupid.
do it over a period of time and you appreciate what you get out of it abit more.
they probably have including me heard of an Xbox, PS3 & Wii as i have all 3 loll.
i dont just play this though, i play Wolf team, Source, Call Of Duty & Medal of honor when it comes out.
its the love for games that drives certain peoples lives, their was even hardcore gamers in Victorian days, through board games and real life games. its only when computers came along did it go over the top.
but just because a hardcore gamer spends a lot of money has no life, i have a gf, i have friends, we go out all the time every weekend. and i go to work and college.
but yeah my friend it just depends on who you are.
the ironic thing is though, im learning to create FPS games from a course i do from home
called train to game. pm me if any of you are intrested btw. -

yea its a hobby..for me 20-30$ every now and then(month-2 months) is enough ..for others 20 in 1 day is not ... -

We pay to have new servers to play on, for people to fix errors, glitches and what not, to have developers come with new weapons, maps, modes, the works.
Any questions left to why some people pay to play a free2play game?

im im the same, gots my ak and deag, what else could ya need. then you see some peoples guns and all those spops wearers. you know they either spent a full months paycheck over the course of every few months just to get those guns, that or used daddies credit card with asking lol
and if you guys honeslty think donating donating that much helps out with server maintenance, they probably make like a 5000% profit even if they got 1 donation from 10% of the people who play this game. lets see 200000-300000 people who maybe play this game. if even 10000 people donate the smallest donation, they're still clearing 80K. and you dont need very stellar machines to run servers on for games like this. just decent upload bandwidth. -
Why do people pay and complain?
People pay because they love this game and enjoy playing it and by buying ZP you are not only getting ZP weapons etc but you are allowing this game to exist so you and others can enjoy it - ZP buyers keep this game alive, free and running, without people buying ZP this game would not be running.
People that buy ZP also complain because they know the game could be even better than it is, complaints hardly means the game sucks as an whole but it does in some ways and therefore they would like to see some improvements to make the game what it could be better. -
