Lag with fraps

Im trying to record a bit with fraps when i play and i always start to lag a bit normally i avg aroud 100 fps in games up to like 150 ish with gamebooster and when i use fraps and actually turn it on to record i drop to like 20-30 fps even with gamebooster on is there ne way to change that?
