Awm...underpowered?

Now I know I'm sure I'll be flamed many times in this thread, but it needs to be said. Simply put the AWM as it is, is far underpowered to its realistic counterpart. Currently In-game getting shot with an AWM will do 50 or so damage through a box in a chest shot from a medium-short distance.

In real life an AWM depending on the model can achieve somewhere around 65,000 PSI of velocity in the firing chamber. Recalculated into bullet velocity that is about 3000 Ft. a second. An AWM's bullets are as fast/faster than cars. It fires a .50 caliber round. The cartridge length being around 3.6 in. the width of the boxes in game would only be about 2.5 to 3 feet in width. Most of the boxes such as the ones covering the tunnel in Downtown arent of a sturdy construction.

So let's summarize this.
.50 caliber able to blast armored cars and light armored tanks.
3,000 feet a second.
A box 2 feet wide.

How exactly are these boxes slowing the bullets down enough to prevent a box kill?
