Crossfire doesn't show up?

When i click on "start game", nothing comes up. I tried to start the game again but it said "patcher v4 is already running". what's wrong?

Are you still patching? I heard there was a patch recently but I haven't done it yet.

Go to your task managers, processes, then end the crossfire.exe or such.

If that doesn't work, restart/reboot your computer.

well, now that i've rebooted a few times the patcher window is now coming up, but it's still not doing anything, all it says is "verifing" and the progress bar is at 0. If you can help me a bit further, it would be greatly appreciated, otherwise, thanks for your help
