[Game Problem] HGW (game watcher) Launch

Hi, i'm a french girl so sorry for my english language :P
I have a problem for launch Crossfire since friday afternoon :
When i click " Start Game " , X-trap launch normally, then HGW (game watcher) launch and after "Step 7" and a short time of "Checking" , an error message say me "File is changed : W[2007] L[2] crossfire.exe"
Someone could help me please ? :S

Yeah I had That Problem too, heres the fix!

- Temporarily disable realtime scanning on your antivirus software
- Re-download the game
- Re-install the game
- Add the entire Cross Fire folder to your antivirus's exception list
-Then start your Anti-Virus again

Fixed the error for me! Hope it helps u!

Please can you translate or reformulate this two sentences, my english is very bad and i don't understand all

maybe not always, i stopped disabling mine after about 3 weeks and it worked!

Most antivirus programs will allow you to specify folders and files that will not be scanned in realtime. This is what is meant by 'exceptions'. As long as you add the crossfire folder to your exception list there is no need to disable antivirus while you are playing.

K Now what u have to do is this!\\

Open Avast!

Ull see a little arrow at the top left corner!

Then keep pressing it and look down the left hand side till you see a Bit called
"Exclusions"

Click on it then add ur z8games folder into it!

all u had too do was take some file that u had placed inside ur crossfire folder. then there PROBLEM gone

I believe the folder he's referring to is the crossfire.exe folder, copied from a working game.

Antivirus is 99% not the issue

Mainly what would cause non connectivity in security software is the firewall feature followed by a HIPS service and lastly Proactive Security features which prompt you to allow or block a program from accessing a File, Service, or program.

There are certain circumstances where in the Vista/Windows 7 environment will prevent a program from its initial run and in other cases from functioning at all due to the UAC feature.

On these systems I recommend running as administrator.

If your having this issue than its always good to post

Operating System - E.G. XP, Vista, Windows 7
as well as any 3rd party security software, If you have multiples of these features as well as a HIPS service such as threatfire.
