low ping = haking?

They're "noobs" because they don't know anything about ping. If I was ignorant of pings and internet connections, and I was getting killed behind walls and getting tanked, I would almost certainly be calling that low pinger a hack. Anyone would, it's just that most of us already know what ping is and how ti can affect our gameplay.
Put yourself in their shoes; you shoot them, they don't take any damage, they kill you before they even appear, they damage you when you're farrr behind the wall and the delay means that everything you do will be delayed (swapping guns takes 1.5 seconds, actual firing of the gun takes 1.5 seconds to reach the servers and back again to the player's comp)
If you were ignorant, you'd be QQing here about how everyone's tanking you and how you're getting hs'd behind the walls. -

I don't think anyone plays with a 750 ping.
For someone with 50 ping, it takes 0.1 second for packets to reach the server and back to the player.
100 ping, 0.2 seconds roundtrip
150 ping, 0.3 seconds roundtrip
200 ping, 0.4 seconds roundtrip
250 ping, 0.5 seconds roundtrip
300 ping, 0.6 seconds roundtrip
500 ping, 1 second roundtrip
Still, if a 50 ping player and a 300 ping player are fighting each other, that half a second difference is ridiculous. -
when you lag less you dodge rifles bullets... but against a sniper you can die behind a wall... i mean if you walk out of it, see the sniper then goes back behind it, you'll probably die behind the wall, happens often... or the jumping sniper guy who shoot you on the ground while you were already in the air... do with it it isnt that bad...I been encountering noobs with 120+ ping in West Coast Server calling low pinger (10-90) hakers for killing them and they thought they hit you but they missed. Does it make sense you to? I need your opinions on this.
thanks. -
All ping is, is how quickly a computer's signal reaches the server. For example, somebody with 300 ping is going to take much longer to get a signal sent and back than someone with 10. That person with 10 ping has the ability to react faster, and thus seems to be hacking, and vice versa...except 300 pingers take the bullets and they don't register because of lag.

i dont get people who still plays this game even when they have 200-300 pings. i mean cmon, my ping usually is 46-59 but on some ocassions when i spike and reach 100+ its pretty laggy already!! how much more the 200-400 pings? can u even still play with that ping?

The game need some maths.
If a player's ping is above 3 * deviation of all the players' pings, the player should be automatically kicked.
I saw some 1000+ guy playing, they make me think I was playing GhostMode. -

CF needs a ping limit on a match of around 380. As past this you start ghosting and skipping around the stage, or you start to float in the air. You can waste two clips of a thompson at them and never hit them once...but they have no issues killing you.

i dont think you know how this game works, ONLY 1 person can kill the other, they dont miss, you just tanked it cuz your ping loads faster than theres and therefore the shot from you seemed to hit first and was shot first. They hit you, but because they died alrdy, you take no dmg. That's why they call you hacker, cause you tanked your shot.

Yea that's a problem that's been around for awhile. Low pingers are harder to fight the your avreage pinger. Not much u can do then get a better Internet connection
Lol ping is about how close you live to the server.
A person could have 100 megs connection and be living in Australia yet he'd still get around
200-250 ping. -

Somehow, i get the opposite of that.
OFFTOPIC:im an aussie and i vote for an aussie server
ONTOPIC: i get a ping of 250-300 in regular servers, and i get that same effect when a low pinger shoots at me with a sniper. same with rifles. i can hit the enemy with 20 or so bullets, and when they kill me, the screen on the bottom right says that they took no damage. somehow, it doesnt add up... -

Im an aussie too, and average 230ms on west coast server. I usually play just fine, and come out pretty well on the scoreboard in most games. The trick is to shoot where the other player is *going* to be, not where they are on your screen.
I am personally sick of getting called a hacker though, as apparently being able to kill people with a 230ms ping = hacking? -

lol i dont think those numbers are right. i get hit after like 3 sec of being behind cover and the guy has 200 ping -
1-150 = No Lagg.
150-200= Lagg
200-500= Fps & server lag
500+ = teleport. (Super Lagz)
Your wrong completely..... 100+ is lag.
200+ is a BR.
300+ a BR downloading something and teleporting around.
1000+ skipping and teleporting like crazy.
5000+ instant freeze of character and lag out.
FPS = Frames per Second, has nothing to do with your ping... Just your video card and computer. -
pssshh finally, a thread that agrees that high pingers have it tough;)
Man I always hear low pingers QQing about high pingers.
I personally think its easier to kill high pingers than low pingers... & those low pingers who think otherwise, just aint playing right... get better aim FFS!!!!!!
IMO!!!!!!:D -

Although FPS has nothing to do with your ping it still has quite a bit to do whether you lag or not.
Example: 200 ping and 10 Fps, Your character is lagging on the server and will probably look like he/she is teleporting because 10 Fps is slower than the human eye which is somewhere around 25 Fps. -

I get where you coming from... b/c when I begin playing i usually have less than 15 ping which usually last for about 30 min. My recorded low was .2 FPS!!! I frooze for like 1 min! lol
P.S I usually have around 46-57 ping.
