Avast is showing a virus

yeah i got this to a while ago. i did what i saw on forum i reinstall the game. before patching i turn off the anti virus (AVAST) then after the patch. yes i did enter the game. then i log off the game to turn on my ANTI VIRUS and i open the game. and yet again it detected ROOTKIT on crossfire.exe now client wont work again. so does it mean and all saying that we should run the game without the ANTI VIRUS ON???

ya me too. but it seems most players now are playing without there anti virus on. i unsintall the game again and i will install it again without the anti virus on while patching but, i wont enter and play the game without anti virus on. its risky without anti virus on. i will wait till a better solution comes out, it seems admin havent figure it out yet. still waiting..

i am also replying on other post. and there now he is playing the game without hes anti virus running. it seems for now, you can enter the game but you have to turn off anti virus.

same prob

i got the same prob. then i deleted all CF files on my pc and redownloaded it. when starting installation the same virus alarm. well rootkits arent a nice thing, can a GM explain this please?

This MUST be an Avast related issue.

I've been playing CF for years. I've had Avast for years. They've NEVER conflicted before now. I'm betting that Avast will update their virus detection to correct this shortly.
