I guess that's the error. I've got Avast free antivirus to.
But there is many that got that problem today. Annoying.

It seems that I found a solution that works. I have opened Avast program and in Standard Shield I have clicked on Customize where in Advanced section I had to Add the path of my crossfire.exe (C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\crossfire.exe) and it works for now! Not the smartest move but the game works till some better solution.
