Because it's pretty much a database, and things get changed every second so they have to update it every second.

i can't even load up my clan page right now....

No mods have an answer.

It's probably the amount of data, the database is controlling which means there are always clan's being created which uploading takes much more speed then downloading.

Updating server's cost. So just wait a few, and let them apply change's ingame
