The Battle of the PUG Vents

http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=63854

I support the above thread. I believe as these things are SUPPOSED to be for the community, not for a f* popularity contest, it should be decided as a community how it should be ran. I think it should be just as much up to the community to decide the rules, etc as it it up to the Owners/Administrators.

Therefore, I want a representative from both sides to come here and state whether or not they would agree to such a "Challenge" if you will. This battle between you two has to stop, it's juvenile. If this is the way to do it, then so be it.

Terms
- One vent will shut down and the other vent will stay open from Monday to Sunday night (Agree on this later). The community will play on it, record their observations, see how it is ran, and see what needs to be better, etc.
- The following week, vice-versa. The community will play on the other vent and do the same thing.
- When one vent is shut down, the opposing vent admins WILL NOT interfere with vent operations. It is only fair to respect the time allotted for the vent to "show it's stuff" to the community.
- At the end of the two weeks, everyone will come back here and decide.
- Results will be tallied. The vent that loses will cease operations and allow the other PUG vent to make an honest attempt, without interference.

Criteria
- These events are meant to be judged and critiqued from points of:
1) Efficiency - Timeliness of team selection; Event starts on time; Smooth operation from start to end.
2) Rules - Good rule set? Sufficient selection of weapons to balance the field and competition without causing too much of a divide between money users a non-money users? Good rule set for matches?
3) Administrators - Are they being professional? Do they act out of context and abuse their power? Do they enforce the rules without question and person bias regardless of who the offender is?
4) Overall - Your overall impression of the PUG vent. How smooth did the draft go? Were you treated professionally? Did you have to wait a long time for the event to get started? Would you come back?

Both PUG vent Leaders/Owners and Administrators should come state whether they agree or disagree to this. It is sad that something like this should be suggested to happen, but at the current rate, the two vents will only make this community worse. Who knows, we might have even more PUG vents pop up because people thing they can just start one because they can. This needs to be settled.
