Camp! Pro and con opinions!

Huge issue in the mentality of the community.
What does camping or defending do? It establishes your angles and your field of play. If the opponent rushes (many do, and falling into "camping traps" causes the rage), you can engage him/her where you want, in the way you want. The rusher is running into unchartered territory.
Should be noted it is often a good strat if you are the higher pinger or poorer shot - in a fair shoot out you will lose, so gain the time or situational advantage from camping or defending. -
Playing S&D or GM , the best tactic is camping . but for GRs only. There is no need to go running after a foe all over the world when you know where you can wait for him and where he will be obliged to go to plant the bomb .Some players are acused and even kicked out of room because of style of play! Camp...eternal story of SD mode! I expect your opinions about this subject.

And it really makes me laugh when someone calls a ghost a "noob camper" I mean geez holding still = invisible. It tells you to when you first join GM. And, its so easy to pinpoint camping ghosts O_o -
lol Max but if the ghost camp and wait while the gr has gone in A& B site camping there waiting for the ghosts . omg lol the ghost will feel like a noob camping cause the chrono will then be his enemy .Max_Skillz wrote: »Ikr

Just imagine you are a ghost and have the bomb in hand and you camp somewhere while both site are being full of GR waiting for you . so what will be the use for you to camp ? LOL but of course with all the idiots that like to run around and spray at their own shadow , then this is another story
edited just to make you lol. " often when I kill a ghost camping on the way I am passing :
Ghost omg , you hack , how did you see me while I am invisible ?"
Me " I did not see you, but I could smell your ass" -

The "other story" is what I'm talking about. Like I said when they QQ about camping ghosts it makes me laugh. -

Agreed. Kids likes the power, they want everyone play as they wishes. When they are killed and start watching movies, they need something to make themselves an excuse.
I am a camper myself, when someone says noob camper, I just ask is camping legit. That is all.
But I was playing TDM, which I enjoyed because I don't like the complexity of team work. In SnD might be different, in CS1.6 we saw terror side sniper camping in spawn area without c4 and all his team killed, he is camping there waiting for game end -- that might earn him "noob"
Also, if someone camp in one place without checking around periodically, that will easily earn him a title of "noob". -

If my team fails bad, and GR is to stupid to rush then yeah ill camp. I hate how people do it sometimes because they dont know any better but yeah if people do it out of tactical purposes i rather think its smart than lame.
GR is the defending team. They are not supposed to rush. -
On Search & Destroy I don't see a problem with the defending team camping. I just don't think the assaulting team should do it.
This, if I'm defending you best believe I'm going to alternate the locations I know are prime for camping. Why? because this is how you run off easy kills and my job is to DEFEND. Defense by design is camping lol. -

Agreed.
If the defending team is patient and doesn't rush them, the assaulting team has to scramble to get to the bomb site after camping half the round.
I don't see anything wrong with camping for the defending team though, or if you are low on HP...otherwise just join a TDM and rush your heart out. -

Oh, why should you be a Gay if the situation is dire like 5/1 S&D?UKDissident wrote: »Personally I think camping is gay, I never camp even with low hp unless the situation is dire like 5 v 1 s&d, but those that camp just to get kills which shoot people in the back as they pass are no skilled morons, they usually die anyway.
It`s like saying " I don`t eat **** unless I am very hungry" -
Ghost Modes especially require patience, and in that I think camping in neccesary. That's why the game was created with different sounds (ie, breathing, footsteps on wood vs. metal, etc.) after all. Why would the creators of the game be so detailed if it's not ok to do? Just like, why is using a shovel (although i hate them) or AWM soooooo bad???? They were put in there by the game creators for a reason. Real pros wouldn't complain about things that required skill and a challenge to defeat anyway. I'm better at killing campers than moving targets, so does that mean I should call anyone who moves a noob?
