This has always been an issue to me but it would happen maybe once every week. Now, it happens maybe once every third game. Is there anyway to stop this, or at least make this happen less frequently?

maybe you have an infection on your computer?? mine seems to work perfect no errors no crashes
scan your pc for malware/viruses
also if you have to many things running at once its eatting up your memory which in turn really slows your game down because your cpu is probly running 100%
go to Run command type in msconfig a little window will pop up
go to start up and look at all the programs that are running on start up really the only things that should be enabled are explorer.exe, ctfmon, and whatever your virus program is that's all your admin/user processes now click on services and stuff like java quick start and crap can be shut down i just click hide all microsoft services and this gives you a basic layout of stuff you've added java quick time etc which all can be stopped because they're slowing your pc down : ) hope this helps
