AWM vs. DSR-1
This is a popular Question with the new patch.
(As with all guns what's most important is what you're most comfortable with)
Judging should be based on these;
Accuracy
Zoomed aim is pretty much identical. Only difference in the zoomed is the size of the zoom. The AWM has two stage zoom; 2x and 4x, as opposed to the one stage 3x zoom of the DSR. No scope accuracy seems better with the DSR but as I rarely no scope I can't really confirm this.
Damage
The AWM maintains power better at longer ranges but I have yet to do under 100 damage with the DSR-1 when I hit torso or head (obviously) But penetration is lessened on the DSR-1. If you can aim whatsoever there really isn't a power difference. (head, chest, and stomach being killpoints on either)
Rate of Fire
The Rate of Fire is better on the DSR-1. Period.
Recoil
Recoil seems massive on the DSR-1 but it settles before your next shot is ready. But overall the AWM has less recoil I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).
Reload Speed
The reload of these guns are close enough to even.
Maneuverability
It's faster to quick switch with the AWM but the DSR-1 is lighter a bit.
PREFERENCE
Do you like staying scoped between shots? Go for DSR-1.
Do you like 1 or 2 stage zooms? Go with corresponding weapon.
Do you like Quick switching? Go for AWM.

I agree with all of the abovem, but for two things- movement speed and damage.
I watched a complete 360 analysis of the DSR-1, AWM, and Barett. The movement speed of the AWM and DSR-1 are equal.
As for the damage, the DSR-1 DOES lose some if far enough away. The 1-hit kill only applies to medium and close ranges.
The people who made the video I watched really did do a superb job and showed all the details, complete with damage dealt and the time down to milliseconds.
I would not dispute the facts. -

DSR-1 is SLIGHTLY faster, and I mean very slightly.
And like I said, I have yet to need a second shot on torso at all.
So I don't know the distance it loses KO power. But I haven't seen it in any map thus far. -
