Window 7 64 bit Ping Spike every 10 seconds (Admin plz read)
Once again i ask this question !!!! i have already tried to fix it by :
go to regedit ---> FFFFF (doesn't work) --> still get ping spike !!
turn off Ipcv 6 ----> still get ping spike !!
some suggestions about the Wlan configuration: turn it off = disconnect = can not join the game.
Turn off my antivirus, my fraps, xfire ===> still get ping spike!!
Update my network card driver / reinstall my driver ==> the latest ==> still get ping spike!!
i used my old laptop (window xp) ===> no ping spike at all (using wireless network)
What should i do? Admin plz read this thread! i need help ! i wanna play CF....with my new laptop!!! i don't want to downgrade my win 7 ==> win Xp.
About the problem: my ping is 10-17 (normal). After i play the game like 10-20 seconds, my ping go up to 1500-2500-3500-4400 within 2 seconds, then it turns back to normal. It occurs every 20 seconds. My new laptop, Z8 new patch ==> i can't play CF !!!

did you try ...
press ctrl+alt+delete to bring up your task manager. from there go to the process list and press the "show processes from all users" button. after that find crossfire on the list of processes. right click crossfire, move your mouse down to where it says "set priority" and set it to low.
you'll have to do that everytime you bring up crossfire, unlike the regedit thing. but its another way to get your ping lower, or "back to normal" -
Just a little note, setting your priority can also cause harm to your game such as lag because it focus's on it to become more faster - which takes processing, and processing causes lag.
Ensure you got nothing else big running, such as MSN Messenger or Limewire, ect. -
