invalid version

i had a problem with my old client after the new patch so i downloaded the new 1045 version but now i get invalid version just like last patch

this is in the log
[8]12:31:21 The local version is higher than latest version

if i manualy change the version to the latest and make the version file read only(which worked last time)
i then get an error file is changed : W[2007]L[0]
rez\RB001.REZ.

Ive run out of options as to what to try next any help?
and i dont need ppl to tell me redownload reboot registry clean any of that crap ive done it alrdy.

Disable your real time antivirus. Reinstall CF and download patch. And start up crossfire. What your anti virus does is deletes some folders in there upon download.

i currently dont have a virus checker so its not that ive also disabled my firewall its not that either

well afetr a reinstall of windows
redownloading crossfire for like the 4th time
im still getting invalid version---i can manualy fix that but then i still get the

im now getting this after the last update..... downloaded the new one but it stops on this.............. never had a problem with cf before...........
