Latest Patch Problem

Right, so with the latest patch I read the mods instructions to get up and running again.
I uninstalled, turned off my antivirus protection, downloaded and installed the newest version.

It seemed to install without a problem, but the moment the patcher starts up when I try to start the game it comes up with an error.

Your client is invalid version.
Re-install the latest version game client.

I uninstalled and retried but the same problem occurred.
Anyone know whats causing it? ):

Do a clean re-install.

To do this follow these steps:

- Control Panel -> Z8Games -> CrossFire -> Uninstall CrossFire
- Open Up My Computer
- Delete the CF directory (Program Files/Z8Games/CrossFire/)
- Delete the CF directory (<user>/Document/CrossFire/)
- Run CCleaner
- Restart Computer
- Disable your anti virus
- Download the newest client from our downloads site
- Install the game from the new download
- Add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions
- Re-enable realtime protection

I followed each step to the letter but still the same problem is happening.

The only difference is I have to dload off utorrent using the link given in the opening box for CF, but the file is the same as far as I can tell. I can't dload from any of the site mirrors, for some reason they only let me dload at speeds of 10-20kb/s =\

Right, so today. I removed all trace of CF from my computer -again-.
Then took the time to download it from the site mirrors rather then utorrent, making sure to turn off all antivirus protection. It took an uberlame 3 hours to dload. Yeah, I know right?

I reinstalled the game from the new file, readded the exemption to the CF directory.
Still the exact same problem. ):

this problems i got the same things after the new patch is coming out. i try to download and reinstall the CF but i still got the same reproblem with the Xtrap.. y the Xtrap is make so difficult to use? and some one pls help/

i am gettign a similar problem i deleted crossfire and re installed it and started it up today after the patch and it wont download!!! the stupid patch just sat there for 8 hours now doing nothing!! can someone help me with this problem!?

dude dont worrie about that it happens again and again but... if you wait for play other games on hours bbacouse you play crossfire on 3-6 hours when stop for hours it well work again ...specialy when you restart computer or laptop~! ty

as bigcee was saying do a COMPLETE uninstall, make sure to clean up your registry also after the uninstall

When the downloader comes up to download the patch it always gets stuck and never downloads. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything, still it won't download.
