LOL, for now. I'm fairly certain this is how the chinese version grandfathered it into the game. They started it off as a weapon obtainable through the falling crates, then eventually released a zp crate where one could obtain the minigun permanently for any mode. I'd say... it's just a matter of time.

Saiden also said that they might do something with the Barrett similar to the MM only gatling gun.

the Barrett, I wouldn't even care if they claimed that Global Risk switched the caliber to the smaller but more accurate .416 for precision shooting, I just love the look of Barrett sniper rifles. They could make the Barrett the same power of the AWM but with maybe increased headshot or wallbang damage or something since it's slower, and it would probably be a ZP crate gun anyways.
