patcher_cf.exe ???

I had it like a year ago too. Just uninstall and download it again. And may I ask you a question? What computer you use? Vista, XP, Linux or Mac?

first off when this happens open task manager and see the process tab to see if it is still in the process menu then check how much cpu usage its using.

you can try getting ccleaner - http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard

uninstall run ccleaner and click registry tab on the left run he scanner then fix all problems - it will ask you if you would like to save the old registry's you dont have to if you dont want to i never.

after you run the registry fixer and fixed any problems, reinstall and before you run cf run the registry scanner again and fix any problems that pop up if any.

also making sure your firewall isn't blocking cf i dont see any AV since you did say you just reinstalled so windows firewall will automatically be activated, get an AV something like AVG probably easiest to use, add the z8 folder to the AV's directory exceptions list then try and run it.

if of course he CPU usage is to high as stated at the start then there is nothing i can real do to help in anyway more since its based on your computer hardware

when you did your uninstall, did you go back and delete all the files associated with crossfire? you might have an issue with that

I have the same problem anyone has a solution to this?
