My sound dosn't work rite. Why? It did before!

When I play Cross Fire my sounds doesn't work right. I uninstalled and reinstalled it 4 times so far and it still doesn't work! I play with headphones, laptop speakers, and regular speakers and the sound still is all "rattly"! Please tell me how to fix this problem! The sound has worked before also!

This is my system:
Manufacturer: TOSHIBA

Model: Satellite L455D (I use a DSL connection through a Belkin cable)

Rating: 3.1 Windows Experience Index

Processor: AMD Sempron(tm)
SI-42 2.10GHz

Installed memory (RAM): 2.00 GB (1.75 GB usable)

System type: 32-bit Operating System

Pen and Touch: No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display

Windows 7 Home Premium

This is all I could find for my system setup. Hope this helps! Please tell me how to fix this!
Oh and I'm using a laptop also.

UMMmmm is your sound like this for everything or only crossifre? try updating you driver for sound or download a new one from the companys site

What do you mean in game options? Like pushing ESC then options then volume/sound? And I no I probably sound dumb but how do I restart my CPU?

Ok I'll try it but I uninstalled Cross Fire again before I posted this forum. Do I want to reinstall it then shut down and restart, or just go ahead and do it anyways? Thank you very much for this! I really appreciate it!

ummm i would install it first if it doesnot work try the other way around

I got this problem before but it was worse
during S&D after bomb planted I would get a loud beeping sound

So I did this

1> Uninstall CF
2> delete game folder
3> Redownload CF
4> reinstall CF
5> if all else fails, send in a support ticket to Z8

Ok well I deleted CF folder then reinstalled CF and rebooted my computer

But when I get the menu (when your able to log in) it still does this "rattly" messed up sound from the music (its also the same thing with talking and gun fire) but on the log in screen if i push exit the sound is perfect, then if i push cancel it goes back to the messed up sound. This really sucks cause i want to play GM really bad and I cant do that if the sound is all "crackly"! But thank you all for this! Oh and what is a ticket, if i may ask?

Wait is that where you click on support then cross fire then click on "submit you problem" then type what going wrong? Because I already did that they just told me to come here and find out. Well actually they sent me to there forum and gives you a list or problems and how to solve them. But I didn't see mine in there. =[
