Rediculous ping!!!

OK, so i live in australia, which usually means that for most games i have to deal with a large ping. No problem there, i've worked my way up to Sergent 2nd class with pings in the 100-200 range perfectly fine. Then today my ping suddenly jumps to a massive 800!!
I tried most of the servers and am still getting the same result, with a ping that high the game is pretty unplayable...
does someone have a suggestion as to why this is happening? or should i just request for an Oceanic server? help please!!

    Please close of all background services such as uTorrent, Windows live messenger, Yahoo messenger, Xfire, make sure Mozilla FireFox is not buffering videos.

    There's no way that it could have that much impact over a day, it is definitely a problem with your connection.

    Questions;

    -1: Do you have wireless internet?
    -2: What type of internet type do you have? e.g ADSL, DSL, Broadband, Cable?
