armor?
i got some armor to tryout see how gd it is , well not good at all i get hit 2 times and have 16 hp and 71 armor. Can some one explain how this is? Is there something wrong , do i need to put in a support ticket? Every time my hp goes way down and ac stays high?

You aren't paying for '100' armor. That is just a mimicry of counter-strike. On top of that, in CN they have some modes where you can regen health, allowing you to use up all the 100ac.
You can call it waste or not, but your mentality on how armor should work is slightly skewered by bad games. Armor is there to help protect, not soak up full damage. -
1. with armor: nade dmg decreases by 80%
2. with body armor: body hit dmg decreases by 20-30%
3. with head armor: 1 shot weak weapon (scarl, mp5, etc) dmg, leave you ~10hp by chance
4. 100 ac DOES NOT = extra 100 hp
5. body armor is not designed to make you invulnerable for unlimited AK or AWM shots, it simply puts a discount in dmg to all bullets that hit you except AWM, so it leaves you a better chance of fighting back, if you just sit there, you dieOK then whats the point just to get money for useless trash? -
Body armor will also not protect you from fall damage, or shots to the arms and legs.
It's possible to die and still have 100 ac.
Honestly armor is fine the way it is. It helps out people who buy it, and it's not effective to the point where it's game breaking. -
I rented some armor once to see how effective it is.
Since I have a few pc's lying around the around house I was able to test it under controlled conditions.
It allows for one extra bullet so basically useless in most situations since most weapons used are automatics.
Does a good job blocking grenade damage.
Bottom line...not worth the investment. -
How does armor not help? You need two hs to kill people with armor. I don't know how many times this has happened to me: Awmer is sitting in a tight angle with only his head peaking out. I peek the angle quick, get a hs, congratulate myself, then go WTF!!!!!
Armor is THE most unfair item you can buy in the game to me, and it makes NO sense game wise because it gives a huge advantage. -

yeah,armour p/isses me off aswell. In some scrim they all rushed B and i was box room. I took down 4 with ak/deagle and went to knife the 5th and did a 90dmg hs -.- really annoying as it was an awesome pre-fire with knife :P -
my experience, in Egypt, without armor, your hp decreased by nades before you can even shoot at anyone esp. when your team is outmatched, right? with armor, you will have enough hp to kill 2-3 before you die
with armor, I can charge TOWARDS against enemy fire and kill at least 1 more than withour armor in egypt
in GM/MM, armor no armor not much difference
fighting with elite players who usually hs, armor no armor not much difference
as a result, body armor works best in TDM, small maps where nades are of great threat, and more sprayers than headshotters.
if you stay back to snipe in Egypt, nades are of the greatest threat to you, body armor is of a great help;
if you snipe in monaco in the sniping platform where your enemies are mostly enemy snipers, armor no armor not much difference -
I disagree. if you say body armor is 'NO sense', then how about ping? how about FPS? should we even out pings and FPS as well? kick those who have low ping or high FPS? kick anyone using weapons other than M16 and M700?How does armor not help? well, you have already paid a computer and internet to win, right? faster computer and faster internet can and will give you the edge to win this game. you pay one time for a computer, but monthly fee for an internet, maybe your family all use one internet link but with zp items, they are exclusively used by gamers. that's why some players cannot get financial support.

I refuse to believe that I have to go play on an xbox to achieve equal chances of winning with someone.
If you're really going to argue that because ping and fps are different from one player to another, thus creating inequality, we should allow some people who have the means to have huge advantages over other players, then I guess people will use any justification to defend figures of authority. Z8 are not saints, they make bad decision like everyone else, and armor as it is implemented right now is a bad decision in my book. -
Armor reduces nade dmg dramatically, about 50 percent at least, this is useful in tdm's.
It also reduces knife dmg alot too, making it useful as GR in GM
However, armor wont do much to stop bullets. It only decreases dmg about 1-4 dmg PER shot, which is enough imo.
Helmet on the other hand, is a bit more useful. It will help you from getting 1 shot headshotted alot. That one shot to the head will leave you with 20 or so hp, enough to kill the enemy. -

knife to head wit headarmor=86dmg~
was bad reg or you missed head ;P
