Not another Barrett thread... kinda
Well we all know that the devs don't want to add Barrett because it would be madness 3 shotting mutants and getting 1 hit kill leg shots through boxes in the rest of CF modes. But hear me out... what if they added it, nerfed the power to AWM status, but added extra headshot damage (maybe up to 700, 750, somewhere in there) and 100% wallbang power. This way it's not overpowered since it's sooo slow, and it really wouldn't be able to out preform the AWM in most cases, but it still had it's uses like wallbanging the people you see the feet of in the middle of Fortress or doing massive burst damage to mutants if you can get a headshot. The AWM- Camo would still out preform it in most cases, even zombie mode since it fires a lot faster and would do the same body shot damage, but it would still give us the powerful sniper that we all want to see added. Personally I'm just a big fan of Barrett firearms and I would buy it even it had M700 power, but that's just me. Do you think this would be a viable option for a future patch?

am sure tha wall in mid of fortress isnt bangable.. if it was hackrs would go insane..killin from spawn to spawn wallbang style :L -
"wallbang" would mean the bullets go thru the walls right? hopefully not more than 1 if thats what you mean. and there might be a little problem with "wallbanging" because of the pathetic hack'ers out there trying to act like they got skills. i'd love to see the barrett with the "wallbanging" and i know it'd be a rare gun in game because it will probably be a zp crate..but if a hack'er gets a hold of one, you arnt really safe anywhere you go =s

If someone is hacking you really aren't ever safe... And by wallbang I mean just shooting through the wooden walls/boxes, obviously not every single wall in the game. The XM8 also has 100% wallbang power also if I'm not mistaken, but that doesn't make it OP at all. -
I've used the Barrett in Chinese CF; although it might be different when it gets released to NA CF...I'd still stick with my AWM. The firing rate is even slower, leg shots still do ~80dmg, and it's the same weight, if not heavier. Pretty cool design and makes players scared of you though ;D
