Screen problems

I use a computer with 15.6'' monitor. My max screen resolution is 1366x768, wich means i can't use the provided video settings on crossfire. The wide screen resolutions have allways 800 wide because i can't neither use 1440x900 nor 1280x800 :S... so i have to use a resolution that leaves 2 black stripes on the sides(1024x768)...
Has this problem a solution?
I've tried to lower Windows resolution to the one I'm using on CF(1024x768), but still no good..

    strange. even though u got a real small monitor, u should be able to play in 1024. change ur PC resolution to 1024, restart your pc, change ur crossfire settings and then play. maybe that will work.
    or u can always adjust ur monitor. u can stretch out ur crossfire window in the manual monitor settings.
    just make the width bigger to make it fit on the screen.

    I got exactly the same problem with my new Laptop. We have tryed everything!
    I also got that resulotion
