Ghost Mode Balance
I'd want to know the community's opinion on current GM balance. Please tell me wich side has more advantages in your opinion, and why.
Here is what I think:
Slight advantage to BL side due to the fact that spades range goes further than the range at wich you can anticipate a low breath ghost.
Clean opinions and discutions.

Shovels can not reach 15 feet, that's distance lag my friend, or a fast bhopper (like me).
I think that ghosts are stupidly overpowered if they can bhop half good, because at the very start of the breath sound file, when you very first approach a still ghost, it's silent, and then very quiet, and then actual breathing. So if they bhop past the 'no hear range' and up to you fast enough, you will only hear breath as you die.
And then if they can bhop away without a teammate shooting them, you can 1vs8 no worries. (Except uber low pingers.

i would defintely say BL is having a huge advantage over GR. The reason being bhoping, if there are couple of good bhopers on the BL team with shovels then GR team doesn't stand a chance unless they use hacks. Bhoping is defintely a form of glitch, coz it is inhuman to bhop all the way through a map like bunnies(i wouldnt mind if they were visible). I would only support bhoping if people stop complaning about box glitchers and fly glitchers!
finally seeing some changes

They can not and will not "un-lag" our shovel.
The reason that it lags is because of how melee weapon hit boxes work in our game.
It lags much less in other versions as they're far more local, and have a much larger portion of low pingers, whereas our version is full of laggers.
(Go to CF:CH/JP, 80% are under 50 ping, 10-15% are under 20 ping. The rest are foreigners.)
The only way they could "fix" it would be to directly nerf the weapon, and lower it's radius, which isn't actually that big, the unusually long kills can be attributed to distance lag. The Katana has nearly double the shovels range, but has various other cons. (Incredibly slow attack, incredibly slow movement speed, even slower movement speed if you choose to "ready" your weapon to attack faster.) -
Bunny hopping makes BL overpowered.
It does, but if they were to remove it the use of guns would make GR overpowered.
So yeah.. They haven't patched bhopping in any Crossfire Version, they never will I'm 99.95% sure (as they could of done it by now). -

imagine the day when all ghosts have mastered bhoping!....just like every noob now has mastered how to glitch inside boxes and how to do fly glitch!...would any1 play G.M anymore?!?
keep in mind that G.M was recently introduced (less than a year)..within a year every ghost will master bhoping...then bye bye to G.M!

Lol. Assuming what you just said was true. Nobody will register another account after today, and everybody will continue playing, and practice bhopping.
I've played Crossfire for over a year, mostly Ghost Mode from the very start. I remember the daywhen you didn't encounter a single bhopper in a few hours of playing.
There's definitely LOADS more bhoppers nowadays, you rarely play a game without one. But you know, you're stupid because, SOUND is the method of play, if you can hear a ghost, and shoot from a distance, you don't need to see them.
Ghost mode is about using sound to find the enemy, hit the ****ing F1 key in a game. T_T -
They don't have to completely remove bunnyhoping. Just bring the old bunnyhop physics back.It does, but if they were to remove it the use of guns would make GR overpowered.

Mm. That's not true because, then it would only be a matter of time before everybody mastered them.
It was probably easier back then, just harder to change direction. So if they did that it would really only slow ghosts down, in non-open areas only though. -
Trust me, it wasn't easier. Only good players, who mainly played ghost mode were able to do the old bunnyhop.Mm. That's not true because, then it would only be a matter of time before everybody mastered them.

how the hell do you hear a bhoping ghost?!?...bhoping doesnt make any noise no breath also!...r u sure that u have been playing G.M for over an year??..lol
NOOB ENCOUNTERED! :-D -
I don't think any side is overpowered. It's just how you play. A large group of people don't know yet how to bhop and doesn't know how to listen to breath/footsteps. Its the skill difference between people who knows how to do these things and do not.
You place one bhopper in a room with new players and bl is already at the wining hand. Place a person who can listen to breath in the same room and its equal. And the same effect if its turned around. -

Well if you've been playing for a year you should know that if walking in a straight line you would be a great target for such people. If you could time and predict it right, when you get targeted, you could stop or change direction. Or you go higher up so you could hear him... -
BL is more of an advantage IF you have lots of bhoppers. If there alots of bhoppers and even amount of PPers, if the bhoppers target them at once the PPers can't really PP effectively as much :O
every G.M i join...2-3 bhoppers minimum i encounter i.e half of the entire BL team!!...each day passing by = more bhopers = nobody will ever play as G.R!!...that would suck if a mode has to be removed from a game because nobody wanna join the G.R team...lol
i have seen even major ranks quit the game bcoz of too many bhopers! XD
another problem is 95% of the bhopers are shovel users..1 shot and u r a dead G.R...and the remainin use axe.. u r dead anyway
-
i wouldnt call somebody a bhopper unless theyr actually invisible 95% of the time they bhop

an you might not see yourself fail but i have a perfect custom desktop settin
almost as good as cham
shovel 1 hit ko on shin an below need to be removed.. that about it imo
an the way it swing.. should be like axe an knife vertical.. its lame to dodge a horizontal swing >>
an you dont have to see or hear a ghost to kill it.. i get bare kills every gm game from 3-5 shot in 2 diff spot every round
is jus experience & anticipation dependin on the ghosts skill, where somebody jus died, where the bomb is planted etc -

I started playing crossfire japan around the same time I started playing this version, I'm not sure exactly when it was released on our version. But I have been playing it for a year, I kid you not.
Sorry to derail the topic.
But yeah, in all honesty my first post was kind of joking. Global Risk are overpowered hands down, if they could just learn how to play.
THEY HAVE GUNS. FOR GOD SAKE.
I mean, it's not that hard to shoot a ghost. T_T -

WRONG, well mostly...
Am i the only one who sees the shuvel "lag" as a poorly timed animation file.? as in, the damage from the shuvel comes before the model has reached the point in the animation at which the shuvel swing would be complete.
im am next to positive this is the issue with the "shuvel lag" issue... -

People are slow, they find excuses for their fails.
No sht that the animation is slow, even a GM posted that somewhere before. -

LOL, why so angry? i assumed if they knew what the problem was,, and one as easy to fix as a animation file, they would fix it....
i like you , your funny... -
GR Advantages:
-Guns (though, bring a crappy gun into a GM room and it don't mean anything. lol never seen anyone but a hacker kill a ghost with an Uzi for instance.)
-Ability to listen to things such as Breath and Footsteps
BL advantages:
-Bunny Hop (Done right, perfectly invisible, super speed, and those who master forward bhop can take out targets easier.)
-Axes & Shovels (Generally 1 hit kill overall, shovel is usually so.)
-Breath & Step Down (Combine this with the above two and GR are generally screwed.)
This is assuming of course the ghosts don't have armour or a helmet to boot with the above stuff, as generally such things don't benefit GR unless its against a poor knifer.
Having played as both sides, lately I'm finding BL has the clear advantage when equipped well, even against good listeners. Having speed to get to areas quite fast and invisibility just from bhop is a great bonus. Its not easy to pinpoint a speeding ghost just normally when they bhop, let alone one with breath down. Up their damage and range with a shovel and axe... Well, lol been playing BL alot more than GR lately, lets just say that. (Unless you count the newest rise of chammers lately to the GR advantage.) -

GR: Shotgun/pinpoint
BL: Shovel/bhop
But A real pro doesn't care what kind of weapon is being used.
lol shotgunwhat?
everybody's opinion is clearly based on 'pub' play. BL is overpowered because of the range of the shovel. and 1 shot to the legs.
in MotG tourny, the rules made both sides perfectly equal. it was the map that decided which side was more successful. also some people are better on a certain side over the other side -

i like to brake my 7 day black market guns in GM. but to get on topic, i think BL has the potential to b overpowered, but for the most part, GR has the advantage with guns. out of the 8 BL layers, only 2-3 on average are fully equipped with breath down, shovel, and all the other good stuff. now if all 8 players were fully suited then u'd pretty much b playing against the panthers.then i'd put my money on BL
