Why is that people tend to use pistols like P228 or M9 when they use an AK-47?

Since ak is strong, you can use a weak pistol to gun the rest of the enemies HP down.

P228 isn't a weak pistol btw, It's amazingly good.

m9, on the other hand..

I use anaconda adv with my ak scope.. I only use other pistols with it if I get them from BM.. except for my deagle

if you are out of ammo with AK to the extent of pulling out of your side arm, nothing will save your life, AK is not a spraying rifle, tapping with 2-3 bullets each time, unless your KDR > 20, you're OK with the ammo provided.

I play with AK without a pistol, but with M4-c, yes, defnitely, awm? 100%

dunno bout m9, but p228 is a good pistol, i think 2nd fastest (semi-auto so glock burst doesn't count) pistol ROF. Its light too, not too much recoil.

i use AK-47Scope+Desert Eagel-Camo

but every player have his own way to play and somebody here give you the anwser AK-47 is the stronges rifel if a enemy have less 20hp you can kill him with a low powered Pistol

on the contrary this is the art of AK, instead of spraying at 3-4 enemies which is the easier way to use AK.

the art of AK is to spray @ long range and burst @ close range. not so many people master this skill.

They use those pistols because they can be drawn out quickely and shoot very fast which will probubly save their lives a couple of times.
