Xm8?

This really makes no sense in game. The xm8 shoots 100% through boxs but its weaker than a scar... The speed is good but i mean shouldnt it be more powerful than a scar then? Kinda makes no sense or im just being stupid its like 2am and im kinda tired so my brain doesnt think right but im just wondering.

I don't know much about guns, but I would guess the XM8 has different rounds than the Scar Light, thus providing it with higher box damage.

Assumption though.

Assumption though.

Xm8 uses 556x45mm NATO.
Scar L also uses 556 natos.

So it's not in the ammunition.

I'm assuming the muzzle velocity is different(too lazy to look it up), and that makes the 100% box shot.
Or maybe the xm8 just needed a little extra something?

it would only be fair, scarl does enough dmg already, we dont need it to have 100 percent box dmg too...
