That they are good at video games.CookieMunzta wrote: »What's you average KDR when you're snipering in TDMs?
I don't keep track of KDRs,but usually get 20+ kill and 15- deaths.
Only got it yesterday,so this is based of first day only. -

Well that's okay for starting, but I don't think it's be any good for SnD
For the past couple of days, I tend to get 30-50 kills, to like 0-6 deaths in TDM Egypt, Ship, Train, and Monaco.
One thing that seems to have improved my sniping, is:
a) Sniping in Mutation Mode, always go for headshots, and since mutes are faster, it'll help you keep up the pace.
b) Sniping in Unreal Tournament 3, which you can pick up for like $5 now

alright well heres some simple pointers
1. awm is a one hit kill to the chest up so headshots aren't necessary but it makes you look good :P:) although acing a team with shots one after the other to the chest is better
2. you need to work on being accurate drag the scope flick it whatever. just make sure you hit them in the chest.
3. use long distance to your advantage cause you really doo have the advantage long distance most of the time. and learn to quick scope for close range or just use your deagle.
but yeah i think its pretty simple -
alrighty, seeing as how I picked up sniping about a month and a half to two months ago, I'll go ahead and give my input here. though i havn't been sniping for too terribly long, I can occasionally pull of a nice 5.0 kdr game.
some simple tricks or ways to improve on things:
1: Go on train or ship and try to focus on quick zooming. it's ok if you pistol whip a few guys but keep your eyes on the prize and try to keep your awm out the whole time. try rushing with it. in the long run, you'll thank yourself for not switching to pistol every time someone's close. not only are QZ's sick when u pull off an hs, but also save you at times when you just don't think you can pull out ur pistol.
2: One thing I havn't seen anyone mention here (to my surprise) is to stick close to corners. you may have noticed other snipers jumping around corners, and there's a reason for this. I'm not entirely sure if it's due to lag or that your reaction times are heightened by remaining in motion, but, jumping around a corner zooming in half way through the jump seems to give the jumper fractions of seconds extra to aim his shot. try this on prison. go to either side lane, jump around whatever obstruction is in your way and shoot anyone who's out in the open. some people like to crouch mid-jump aswell. that's all a matter of preference though.
3: The main difference about SnD's is that in SnD's you need to rely on your team more. Try to join bigger games. Where ever ther majority of your team goes, follow them but stay behind them a little ways. you're basically their back-up. If you just try and play by yourself that's fine, but only if you have the necessary skills. first play with teamates, then gradually work on solo play.
that's my input anyways. hope it helps -

Gonna try this right now.
S&D is kind of harder since there are more pros there.I ams till new to AWMing so I think I will stick with TDM for now. -
For awping, there are always certain locations where most people flock too.
For Black Widow for example, most either go Long A, Cat Walk, Spawn to B Bridge, and so forth.
If you don't have a very good quick scope/flick shot/reaction speed (which can be fine tuned in any mode that allows guns (MM Excluded)), you can set the scope to a certain point where you believe you'll be fast enough to hit someone.
Like someone previously stated before, practice makes perfect.
It's all a matter of experience/game sense/reaction imo.
