How would this computer do with CF?
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,1840845,00.asp
My current computer is very bad. 512MB ram, integrated Intel graphics, Pent 4 2.8 GHZ processor. I get maybe 20 FPS in 8v8 and that's at lowest settings. I even have it optimized to the fullest I can get it and it's still bad. Would I notice a difference on this computer?
All responses appreciated, thanks.

You're the biggest moron ever. Don't even post in my thread if you can't read. Ping has nothing to do with FPS anyhow. -
Are you buying this things used or something? Because it said it was tested when it was $900. Judging from the hardware this thing isn't new, nor good. Don't waste anything on a pre-built Emachines, dell, etc, because they are junk computers. It would be best off if you invested into actually building a PC or modifying a decent one.
Now tell me, what is your budget? -

Just to play Crossfire? Get real. -

My very spare and very old lappy has 756mb RAM, 2.00ghz processor, bad internal wireless, and still gets 50+ fps in a 8v8.....
Besides, the internet connection isn't gonna make any difference at all regarding FPS. Only ping/lag will be an issue with a bad Internet connection. -

ATI Radeon XPRESS 200
The graphic card it comes with is really weak. You would not get anything over 35 fps in an 8v8. The AMD Athlon 64 is the weakest dual core on the market today, it's a really bad performer.
What. Is. Your. Budget? -

50+?
This is a lie. I bet you get frame spikes every time someone throws a grenade or when you shoot. -

I have roughly 280$ but I'm definitely not looking to spend all of it. I just want something that can handle CF because it's the only PC game I play. -

Nope, I don't. The graphics card is still pretty decent in there, 512mb ATI.
I only use that laptop for the stuff I don't want on my normal laptop.
EDIT: Btw you do realise you should be talking about the graphics card don't you, and not necessarily the processor or RAM, regarding the FPS concerns? -

$280?
You should spend all of it if you are investing time in games on PC. Actually, you should save up $300 more and buy an actual decent PC that will last for years to come.
But for $280.

~ HP Slim-line PC (Yes it is pre-built and bad)
You can stick an actual dedicated low-profile GPU in it so games play smoothly.

Even with whats included.
Sorry for not putting it in the original post but I'm getting it for 75$.
@Tasty: I've had this same computer for about 5 years and it has endured perfectly. I'm not interested in PC gaming, just being able to get Crossfire playable when there's more than 4-5 people on each team. -

Actually, in this game the processor play's a bigger role in reliance than the GPU. A lot of games these days are designed to be like that.
Do you think everything it's all up to the GPU lol? -
My graphics card is not even designed to play 3D games; it would be a waste of time to post it. Just for you guys... Intel 82865 Graphics Controller. LOL
If you're ever in the UK, and you have your laptop, go to Currys, and be sure to get this bad ass installed:
Noiice graphics card -

Still anyone who would pay 900$ for that is dumb.
I have a Emachines tower that has a 2.1 in it. That one comes with a 2.4. That has a PCIe 16x option mine is AGP. But i can tell ya now i paid no more then 150$ for my tower. I'm Running a BFG Geforce 7300. 1v1 120 FPS. 8v8 60 - 30. Also i have 1gb ram.
That processor is a little bit faster then mine. Could pull a couple more FPS then i can(+5) Maybe. Depending on how good that ATI it has is.
EDIT:: This game is a CPU hog. GPU kinda just there. -

That ATI it has isn't even dedicated. It is on par with his current Intel chipset to tell you the truth. -

I've helped build a few custom PCs and, mainly, laptops for me and my friends, so don't worry I know how they work.
I've left my AMD processor of my main laptop the same, never OCed, yet it runs the likes of Crysis + iTunes + MSN, etc, with no hassle. Simply because of a few tweaks elsewhere, so no, it's not all up to GPU or the processor or RAM. -

I have trouble believing this because my sister has the same chipset with 1GB RAM and a worse processor and 8v8 is more than playable on her computer. -
Listen to me...
You don't EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVERRR want to buy a pre-built $75 eMachines. I understand you don't want to pay 400+ for a decent PC, but buying this is like throwing all that money in the garbage.
I'll second that ^_^ -

That game requires a PC.
This game requires a Nintendo with a controller. -
