Xfire vs Vent

So, Xfire is now bundled with CF. And I've used both Ventrilo, and Xfire before, and like xfire better. But my friend like Vent better. I can't seem to find the pros and cons of each... and I think Xfire is a bit more superior. Anyone care to share (your opinion)?

Xfire had PTT as well, and it shows you who is talking.

IM'ing is kinda h0m0. xfire's voice works fine if the other person's mic is decent. It's not bad to talk to ppl who don't have vent/can't be in your vent. you can like, invite ppl n stuff to a voice chat. vent is more sophisticated/organizable though, ofc since it specializes in voice chat. i only use xfire to record [almost never to communicate].

Ummm but really, i want to love x fire as much as vent only if you could kind of have ur own servers with private rooms etc.

xfire is a resource hog ventrilo all the way

Vent is also quite the resource hog along with its many issues regarding random ping spikes and such. Despite it I prefer it over xfire any day.

*Though tbh...Mumble is beast

the sound quality is just so much more epic along with its auto level equalization so I don't have to bother with individually bumping up people or lowering certain shouters. Also, mumble does an excellent job of reducing background noise even when used with some of the worst possible mics.
