Thinking on the fly.

Here is where you can share stories of a last minute, split second decision that had an amazingly good result. For example:

I am playing in Fortress as a GR, playing the right side upstairs. I'm using a Famas and a M9 (both I won off of the BM, trying to damage them for $$, so the Famas is really innaccurate).
I am trying my best to work the window, and whenever I hear footsteps I back off to the stairs, leap the banister, and take out whoever is coming up to get me before they know what happened.
I am holding my own, but one player with a M4 is determined to get me. A few attacks from him leaves me with about 5 HP, and just as I am fending off people from the window I hear footsteps on the stairs behind me. Having only a few shots left in my Famas, I switch to my M9 but it is empty!

Really quickly, I rationalize that 90% of CF players don't carry sidearms, so I whip it down the stairs and start to reload the Famas. Sure enough, my M4 toting enemy runs up to shoot me, walks over the M9, and has to redraw his M4 before he can shoot me!

I finish my reload, and kill him before he fires a shot. I am eliminated from the window shortly after, but for that one vulnerable moment I said "I am NOT being killed by an M4!"

He eventually had his sweet revenge on me, but not until I was well into ACE rank...

Anyone else have a cool story?
