I just baked my graphic card

My friend had an old 7950 GTS that he was throwing out cause it displayed a load of trippy lines on the screen. I took it off him, took the fan + heatsinks off and baked it in the oven at 200°C for 10 minutes and now it works perfectly. Beats the hell out of my old 7900 GS

Apparently it melts all the solder and rejoins everything to how it was when it was first made. Worked for me really well

In a OVEN??? Confused how metal could melt in a oven, you've got me CONFUZZLED.

Solder compound doesn't need alot of heat to melt it.

worked for alot of people. Google "baking graphic card" and you will see for yourself

how much more smoothly does crossfire run with 7950 GTX instead of the 7900 GS..i ask because i have a 7900 GS atm and it fails at life

Personally I prefer home-baked brownies.
