No, it does not do more damage than the Spas12.
The Spas12 does more damage and has more 8 shots fully loaded instead of 6, but the XM1014 has a faster rate of fire AND reload. Plus, you can fire it while reloading.

lol to me spas12 is doing a bit low dmg not alot but about 1%.
and xm1014 is epic shoty i didnt say that spas12 totally sucks and hes dmg is like u cant kill anyone but spas12 is for me 1% lower then the xm1014 -
I believe you can fire both weapons during reload.
As LolliRoger just stated, SPAS-12 deals more damage, but XM is faster. However, XM does eat up its ammunition more faster than SPAS. But as long as you remember that you can shoot during reload, the faster XM is recommended. -
