Making the tournament also EU friendly, here is an idea!
Make European and american divisions, and the winners of those divisions play at the finalmatch.
The final would be played in two parts, First half at Echo server and second at UK.
Theres alot of good teams at europe deserving to get a chance to win the 1000$.
Everyone knows that EU teams dont have any kind of chance to win if the tournament
is played completely at american servers. -
Teams will be able to register in this league sometime in the near future and off of www.wogl.org. Stay tuned for future announcements.
It will be $1000 of real, spendable money.
Clans mean nothing for WOGL tournaments and leagues. Everything will be around a minimum team of 5, not a clan. This means people can be in separate clans but come together in one team and participate. You will be able to sign up at www.wogl.org when we officially announce it.
Wogl&ESL and every single "Online Gaming League" makes me laugh and roll on the floor... -

That would be bad.
It would be better if they play 4 rounds,GR and BL on NA and same on UK server so they play twice as GR and twice as BL -

That would be good too, altho the game would take too long time to be played, 2/3 hours?
Getting players in for 2/3 hours is abit hard to accomplish.
If WOGL (WORLD online gaming league) stands out for its name, it will make a tournament where european teams have a chance to win too. -
Why not just have a EU prize too...
Or like someone said earlier (think it was Dj ^^), spend it making the servers better. Maybe one day NA and EU can play with similar (or at least relatively low) pings...
All in all, things aren't looking fun for the EU players. -

EU Players Concern(s)
The divisions, and matchups...and overall play WILL be accommodating for EU players. NA & EU players will have an even median of play. When it comes down to mixed regions, it will than be in the team captains hands to negotiate even terms. I assure all EU players, this was one of the HIGHEST priorities on our to do list.

Early Favorites and/or Winners?
Yes there are favorites out there, but DO NOT take anything away from some of the elite players in this league. Granted Lifeline has proven their name on a higher level of play, but 90% of this game is teamwork and strategy. The team who out-thinks their opponent(s) will win 9 times out of 10. The object is not to out-gun your opponent, but play a smarter game. So all this back and forth regarding Lifeline, and better yet weaponry is nonsense. Whether your wielding a K2, M4A1 [Custom], QBZ or FAMAS, it won't matter when a player/team out-thinks you and puts one round in your head. Most the dominant players aren't wasting too many rounds on your body(ies). You'll find yourself peeking around a corner and your head in their cross hairs. They're looking for the quickest kill...So to debunk this 'Lifeline will win' silliness; Out think them, out play them, out work them...and YOU WILL DEFEAT THEM! There is PLENTY of competition out there that is fully capable of defeating them, and all they have to do is work together as a team...build chemistry and GO; Strategy over Ability...
It's time to compile your team(s), schedule scrimmages against other competitive teams; Whether via. Xfire, PM or IRC, and begin working with your team(s) apposed to working against a wave of change coming in. This is what sitting in Crossfire's future at the moment, you can either take part and enter in a chance to earn money and ???, or sit sidelines and observe. There's no sense arguing for or against the piper... -

Interesting. For the NA/EU "negotiations" will it be allowed for matches to split up into two servers or does it have to be one match, that's it?
A bit of irony I found in your (well written, well done) message about LifeLine is that they have great teamwork. It's part of their success. In fact almost everything you wrote in that applies to them (btw I think the majority of them use M4A1-Adv or M4A1-Silver, with exception of malte[gr] and one or two others). However I completely agree with you on the competitiveness of teams. LifeLine may be pro; doesn't mean they're the only ones. I'm glad you guys did bring this up because it may cause some people to not bother joining up. You got to remember though; it's fun (don't necessary have to play to win) and you do have a chance of winning no matter how slim it is. As long as a chance holds, there's no point in admitting defeat.
