Actually a helmet lets you survive a knife stab HS. So yeah, unless your facing a pro who either fast slashes head or stabs then slashes quickly. the helmet is actually rather helpful in gm or a knife matches.

I know this because I've against a lot of them when I'm ghost. and a HS slash or stab, sounds different then a standard hit, so when i hear the different sound as i stab them. i ask if they have helmet. I'm right every time.
