Realistic grenades

You have maybe noticed that grenades do not explode even after hours from the time you opened them. Why ?

I think that it can be done to explode after 7 sec.

Am i stupid asking for something like that ?

( Oh and the white smoke that nades drop to their path is a bit annoying )
