Is there a way to play windowed mode in-game?

Alright. I'm on my dads laptop and I want to know if I can play in windows mode when I'm in-game.

The square box works when im in the lobby but then turns full screen when I go in-game. On my old laptop that broke, I could switch pixel setting like 800x600 and it would change. from small to big, etc. (windows mode & full screen) but when i adjust the settings on my computers and this laptop is still goes full screen.. help?

It helps me out with my FPS alot... on my old laptop i would get 10 fps in full screen and in windowed mode it would give my laptop 40+fps. on this laptop i get an average 20 fps I was wondering if there was any other way.

usualy means the games resolution is the same as your desktop resolution if it switches to full screen mode, just turn your desktop to the highest resolution then put your games resolution to one below your desktops and it should go into windowed mode, also make sure full screen isn't checked in the games options menu.

open crossfire, go to control and change ur resolution to 800x600, join a room, press escape, alt tab, go to your display settings or graphic properties and set the resolution to the max, that should allow you to play cf in windowed mode

then u have to repeat the process everytime u join a room

Do this at your own risk. There isn't any planned way to get Windowed Mode In-game.

Is there an actual in-game supported way to play it in Windowed Mode? No. However they may be alternatives like what was suggested above.

Yes.

Get Windows 7, put Windows 7 at a very high resolution (e.g. 1920x1080), play cf in windowed mode.
